I'm Alex, an engineering leader based in London. I spent about thirteen years at one company as it grew from Demotix to Corbis to BENlabs, ending up as Senior Director of Engineering and leading teams across five countries. BENlabs wound down in 2026, so right now I'm looking for what's next in senior engineering or engineering leadership. In between I'm reviving old open-source projects and learning the theremin, slowly. Romanian by origin, easily bribed with strong coffee.

Reviving old open-source tools and poking at Go. Learning the theremin, and making chiptunes as viciosul_sid when the mood lands.
